Northern Saw-whet Owl

A Northern Saw-Whet and Great Horned Owl are two of the winged visitors expected at the next meeting of the Bristol Area Lions Club. On Monday, April 1 at 7:00 pm,  the Club will be welcoming a visit from Wind Over Wings (windoverwings.org), a nonprofit, wildlife educational center featuring magnificent birds who are unable to survive in their natural environment.

Founding director Hope Douglas will be accompanied by four wild birds under the care of the center—an Eastern screech owl, a great horned owl, a Northern saw-whet owl, and a red-tailed hawk. Great horned owl

This meeting is a rare chance for members and guests to observe these fascinating raptors up close.

To make dinner reservations for the event, which begins at 6 PM at the Willing Workers Hall in New Harbor, please call 677-6191, and to learn more about the Bristol Area Lions Club, serving Bristol and South Bristol, contact John Janell at 563-7402.
