The Bristol Area Lions held their Labor Day drawing of winning ticket concluding its summer long effort. Lt. Rand Maker of the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office and a Bristol resident picked the winning tickets.

The first prize, a $250 L.L. Bean gift card was awarded to Vicki Ford of Arlington, Ma. The second prize of a gift certificate for a dozen lobsters courtesy of Shaw’s Fish & Lobster Wharf went to Charles Busby of New Harbor. Laurie Mahan of Pemaquid Harbor won the third prize on a ticket sold by Lion Walt Johansson, a $25 gift certificate from the Anchor Inn.

The Bristol Area Lions Club would like to again thank Lion Johansson, who accounted for 38% of the ticket proceeds by soliciting on his bicycle around Pemaquid Harbor.

The Bristol Area Lions Club will hold its first dinner meeting of their new season on Monday, Sept. 15 at 6 p.m. at the Willing Workers Hall.

Robert Clifford, President of Colby & Gale will review the company’s history at that meeting.
To make dinner reservations for that meeting, please call 563-7402. To learn more about the Bristol Area Lions Club, serving Bristol and South Bristol, contact Walt Johansson at 677-2584
