Bristol Lions donate $1,500 to CHIP 01/03/2016

Bristol Area Lions Foundation Treasurer and Community Housing Improvement Project Inc. board member Michael Hope presented a $1,500 donation for the CHIP home repair program to board chairman David Ray.

During the past year CHIP repaired 38 homes in nine local communities with hundreds of hours of both professional and volunteer time. Funds raised for home repair were used for $39,000 of materials and $24,000 for local contractors. CHIP also assisted 300 families with $105,000 of fuel assistance.

The Lions urge all inhabitants of Lincoln County to support their efforts with their own donations to: CHIP Inc., P.O. Box 6, New Harbor, ME 04554.
