The Bristol Area Lions Foundation recently made their annual donation to the Community Energy Fund. The Community Energy Fund partners with the towns of Lincoln County to identify families in need.  The Community Energy Fund then contacts their local energy supplier to schedule and pay for a delivery.  For assistance contact your local town hall office.

Since its founding more than a decade ago, the Community Energy Fund has received more than  $1million dollars in donations, and every cent of it is spent on fuel. The fund has helped more than 3,000  people heat their homes. Between general assistance, the LIHEAP government program, CHIP Inc. and the Community Energy Fund most people get through the winter, but without these programs they would not be as warm.

Donations come from people of all incomes, sometimes even from people who had been helped themselves, and want to pay it forward.  To keep ones neighbors warm, one should please make a personal donation to this 501 (c) (3) with a check to: Community Energy Fund, P.O. Box 40, Bristol, ME 04539.

The Bristol Area Lions Club will distribute Christmas food baskets on Saturday morning, Dec. 16 in Bristol and South Bristol.
